The Optical Fiber Communications Laboratory (https://www.creol.ucf.edu/ofc/) is seeking postdoctoral fellows to participate in research in microendoscopic imaging . Candidates with expertise in the one or more of the following areas are encouraged to apply: Constructing various imaging modalities including photoacoustic imaging, nonlinear/multi-photon imaging, optical coherence tomography, optical diffraction tomography, and ultrasound imaging. Fabricating micro-optic and integrated photonic devices for imaging/microscopy, for example, micro- and nano photonic devices, optical fiber components, and photonic integrated circuits. Simulation of optical and photonic devices using custom and commercial design and simulation packages such as Lumerical, COMSOL. Imaging reconstruction and image processing algorithms, digital signal processing, control/optimization, AI/ML. Integration and control of photonic and electronic devices and instruments. Candidates with expertise in the one or more of the following areas are encouraged to apply: Modelling, design and optimization of photonic devices using custom and commercial design and simulation packages. Integrated device fabrication (in house and/or via foundry services) using various material platforms. Optical and electro-optical characterization of integrated devices and subsystems.
