CREOL, The College of Optics and Photonics at the University of Central Florida (UCF) invites applications for a 9-month associate professor or professor (tenured) or an assistant professor (tenure-earning) faculty position in the interdisciplinary area spanning Artificial Intelligence (AI)/machine learning (ML) and optics & photonics. Candidates with a strong background in any areas of optics and photonics that can contribute to AI for Optics and/or Optics for AI will be considered. Expertise that complements those of existing faculty within CREOL and UCF at large are of particular interest. They include but are not limited to 1) innovative use of AI/ML for designing and optimizing photonic materials, devices, and systems, 2) enabling photonic technologies for AI computing and artificial neural networks, 3) AI/ML-enhanced photonics applications including communication, imaging and sensing. The Optical Fiber Communications Laboratory (https://www.creol.ucf.edu/ofc/) is seeking postdoctoral fellows to participate in research in microendoscopic imaging . Candidates with expertise in the one or more of the following areas are encouraged to apply: Constructing various imaging modalities including photoacoustic imaging, nonlinear/multi-photon imaging, optical coherence tomography, optical diffraction tomography, and ultrasound imaging. Fabricating micro-optic and integrated photonic devices for imaging/microscopy, for example, micro- and nano photonic devices, optical fiber components, and photonic integrated circuits. The Contracts and Grants Specialist III will provide pre-award and proposal submission support to the faculty and staff in CREOL. This position will collaborate with principal investigators and others to find applicable funding opportunities to pursue and coordinate with university partners to prepare submissions included in grant proposals.Responsibilities:Collaborate with Principal Investigators (PIs) and their teams, Office of Research and Commercialization staff, Directors, and Research Coordinators to develop proposals for official submission; specifically prepare sponsor forms including budgetary, application forms, and ancillary submission documents for inclusion with the proposal submission, as well as internal administrative forms. The Finance/Budget Analyst II will process financial transactions within the university's financial systems. This position will also prepare statements and reports relating to an assigned area of responsibility and apply university accounting policies and procedures. The Analyst is tasked with assembling, analyzing, reconciling data and transactions, and making necessary adjustments with proper internal controls.
