An inaugural inductee into the Florida Inventors Hall of Fale, Wu holds 101 U.S. Patents. As CREOL’s most-published faculty member, he has co-authored 7 books, nearly 700 journal papers, and more than 300 conference papers. Wu was also awarded UCF’s inaugural Medal of Societal Impact in recognition of his pioneering research into the evolution of liquid crystal displays.
On Good Day Orlando, Wu discussed two products that utilize his inventions: Next-Generation AI-powered AR Glasses by Himax Technologies, and Magic Leap 2 AR glasses.
