Liquid crystal display, projection display, microdisplay, plasma display, light emitting diodes, organic light emitting display, and field emission display.
Display devices have become indispensable in our daily lives, ranging from cell phones, notebook computers, desktop monitors, TVs, to digital movies. This course is intended for graduate students who are interested in learning the latest flat panel display sciences and technologies. Topics to be covered include the basic materials and operation principles of liquid crystal displays, light emitting diodes, organic light emitting diodes, plasma display panels, field emission displays, and carbon nano-tubes.
