Postdoctoral position is available, subject to funding availability, in the fields of nonlinear dynamics and nonlinear information processing in The College of Optics and Photonics (CREOL) and Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science. Topics of interest may include information and data processing using nonlinear methodologies such as reservoir and neuromorphic computing, studying effects of environmental noise on information processing, weak signal amplification and identification, and information processing employing arrays of neural and other types of nonlinear oscillators.
- PhD in the fields of Physics, Applied Mathematics and Engineering.
- Experience with nonlinear systems and strong computational capabilities. Knowledge of laser dynamics such as semiconductor diode and fiber lasers, Josephson junction dynamics and experience in signal processing design and matched filters would be advantageous.
Our group collaborates with other groups in CREOL and ECE and groups outside of UCF. Ability and desire to work in a collaborative team environment would be an advantage.
