Biography

Pablo Cencillo obtained his “Licenciatura” in Physics from the University of Valencia (Spain) in 2013, after completing an Erasmus year at the RWTH Aachen (Germany).

In December 2017 he graduated with a PhD from the Optoelectronics Research Centre at the University of Southampton (UK). Working under the supervision of Prof. Nikolay Zheludev and Dr. Eric Plum, he introduced the first generation of Addressable Metamaterials, devices that allow simultaneous spatial and temporal control over the optical properties of metamaterials. 

In 2018 he joined the Nano-optics Research Group, at the NanoScience Technology Center in the University of Central Florida, where he currently works on developing tunable optical
elements.
