Biography

Kamal Abdelsalam received the B.Sc. (Distinction with Honors) and the M.Sc. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Ain Shams University, Cairo, Egypt, in 2011 and 2015, respectively. In 2010, he joined Mentor Graphics as a research intern where he worked for the Device Modeling Team on statistical modeling techniques. Since 2011, he has been a research and teaching assistant at the Electronics and Communication Engineering department at Ain Shams University. In 2011, he joined the Lab of Lasers and Optical Communications (LLOC) for two years as a research assistant working on developing MEMS based Optical Coherence Tomorgraphy (OCT) head. He has been also a senior optical/MOEMS design engineer with Si-Ware Systems Co. where he was working, since 2013, in the optical MEMS division as a part time design engineer on design and characterization of sensors and MOEMS devices. He joined The College of Optics and Photonics (CREOL) at August 2016 as an Optics PhD student.
