Biography
My past research interests include data processing of astrophysical data (translational and rotational corrections for image alignment, filtering hot/dead pixels, and coadding images), as well as optical system simulations (designing theoretical filter functions, PSFs, thru-put curves, jitter, and sensor specifications such as pitch, gain, quantum efficiency, dark current, exposure times, etc.) to create realistic images of modeled astrophysical data to simulate how a theoretical telescope will image an object (Advisor – Dr. Guzman, Dr. Bo Zhao, University of Florida). Using this past experience, I have become even more interested in learning new algorithms to extract useful information from data, recently with regard to Dr. Pang’s work in optical and x-ray imaging.
