Philosophy<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3853c21 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"3853c21\" class=\"style6\">The IPES lab\u2019s primary research goal is to develop transformative technologies, devices and chips in the field of integrated photonics.\u00a0 A bottom-up project development approach is emphasized.\u00a0That is, we design our proposed devices and systems, fabricate them in CREOL\u2019s cleanroom facility, and characterize them in our measurement lab.\u00a0 If during this exciting and challenging route, new theory or modeling is needed, we\u00a0work on the more fundamental theoretical aspects of the targeted Apertures on Silicon<\/h5>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-8d9941c elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"8d9941c\" objective of the program is to pave the path for seamless integration of III-V and silicon devices on the same chip without bonding, but rather epitaxial growth on silicon substrates.\u00a0Also,
