We are actively recruiting postdocs, graduate students, and undergraduate\n researchers across all 5 of our active programs.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n\n

What you would work on<\/h2>\n

Projects span molecular beam epitaxy of nitride and IV-VI materials,\n nanophotonic design and simulation, cleanroom fabrication, and cryogenic optical and electrical\n characterization. Students typically own a thread end to end — design, growth, fabrication,\n measurement — rather than a single step of someone else’s pipeline.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n\n

Applicants apply through either\n CREOL, The College of Optics & Photonics<\/a>\n (Optics & Photonics PhD) or the Department of Materials Science & Engineering. Undergraduates<\/h2>\n

We regularly host UCF undergraduates from optics, materials, physics, electrical,\n and mechanical engineering, as well as NSF REU students each summer. No prior research experience\n is required — curiosity and a willingness to learn instrumentation matter more.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n\n

\n

Postdocs<\/h2>\n

We are actively recruiting a postdoctoral researcher<\/strong>. This\n position requires the candidate be a U.S. person<\/strong> — a U.S. citizen or\n lawful permanent resident — as a condition of the supporting award.<\/p>\n
